Libya has provided bases for Ukrainians to attack Russian ships

According to RFI, Ukraine has set up bases in Libya to launch attacks on Russian vessels. The Ukrainian contingent, including more than 200 officers, is stationed at three sites, including an airbase in Misrata and the Mellita area.

Ukraine has already attacked Russian ships twice in the Mediterranean: the gas carrier Arctic Metagaz and the tanker Qendil.

An agreement on the presence of Ukrainian military personnel in Libya was signed in October 2025. Russia has accused the Dbeiba government of supporting Ukrainian forces with the involvement of British intelligence services.

Ukraine has developed an automated fire control system (KRIP-A) for the 2S22 “Bohdana” self-propelled howitzer.

The system can automatically calculate firing parameters and transmit them to the control panel, which then handles gun targeting in automatic mode.

It is comparable to NATO-standard systems such as Germany’s ADLER and Poland’s Topaz, with developers saying the Bohdana is now nearly as automated as the French CAESAR.

Ukraine is currently producing around 35–40 Bohdana systems per month.

Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces strike an enemy UAV depot, aircraft, and radar in Crimea

On April 2, operators of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces (
@1usc_army
), jointly with Ukraine’s Defence Intelligence, carried out a series of operations against military targets in temporarily occupied Crimea. The strikes were conducted in coordination with the DeepStrike Center.

A storage facility for Orion-type UAVs was hit. The Orion is a reusable strike-reconnaissance drone worth over $5 million, capable of carrying missiles and aerial bombs and remaining airborne for up to 24 hours. The destruction of four Orion UAVs has been confirmed.

An An-72P aircraft was also hit. This maritime patrol aircraft is used to monitor coastal areas and detect violations of territorial waters.

The third target was a P-37 “Mech” radar station, designed to detect aerial targets, vector fighter aircraft, and provide target designation for surface-to-air missile systems.

The precision of USF operations and their carefully planned execution are degrading the enemy’s military potential faster than it can be restored.
