Can someone seriously investigate why Jamil Jivani an opposition MP, not part of the Prime Minister’s team is flying to Washington D.C. on our tax dollars?

He is not representing the Canadian government.
So what is his mandate?
Who authorized this trip?
Who is he meeting?

The only publicly known connection is his close relationship with JD Vance and the powerful network around Peter Thiel.

Canadian MPs don’t get blank cheques to run private foreign relationships.

If this is legitimate, Canadians deserve:
Itinerary
Named counterparts
Public reporting

Until then, this looks fishy.

It does not represent me.
Our tax dollars are not his networking fund.
Explain it. Document it. Investigate it.

No branding on any of this.

I live in Jamil Jivani’s riding.
He does NOT represent me.

He never reached out.
He never consulted constituents.
He never asked what we think.

I’ve spoken to plenty of people here. Nobody asked for this.

And yes, I’m mad.
I’m furious.
And a lot of people are.

This makes me more nervous than him pretending he’s doing “constituent work.”

Because it looks like he’s aligning himself with JD Vance and Donald Trump not Canadians.

We do not want Trump-style politics in Canada.
We do not want Maple MAGA.
We do not want our MP undermining this country.

I didn’t vote for him, but I still live here.
This is not what I wanted.
This is not what I asked for.
He is not supporting me or my community.

That feels like undermining Canada.
That feels like pushing 51st-state nonsense.

Conservative MP Jivani says Trump gave him a message for Canadians during Washington trip

Jivani repeatedly emailed the Liberal government
- He sent four emails between Dec. 14 and Feb. 2.
- First email went directly to the Prime Minister.
- He offered to help build a multi-partisan strategy for the upcoming CUSMA (NAFTA 2.0) review in 2026.
- He criticized what he called “divisiveness” between Liberals and Conservatives.

- He’s meeting with:
- General Motors
- Other automotive/manufacturing stakeholders
- Political contacts
- He will attend the National Prayer Breakfast, a major political networking event.
- He believes his relationship with JD Vance gives him unique access.

His belief will soon run into hard reality.

He can meet with whomever he likes. But he has no more authority that Steve Fucking Witkoff or Jared Slumlord Kushner.

Ok. But even Jared has money behind him, what does Jivani have? pp is a fool for letting this happen. He comes off as either a weak leader right off of a leadership review or incompetent.
