Holy FUCK!!!

Just came back from out local store - 2 little beef ribs for the BBQ were $26. More fat and bone, couldn't have has 9 oz meat combined.
Picked up 2 pack of steaks, the size the wife used to buy for us. SEVENTY-EIGHT BUCKS. Put them down in a hurry.
Whole chickens were $15, you can get a bigger rotisserie chicken already cooked for less than that.

Local grocers have decided we're not 40 klicks off the highway, we're fucking Alaska.

Prices increase weekly here. Like cans of no name Pork&Beans 'on sale' for $2.59

Grocery store rotisserie chicken suuuuuuck. I don't know why we can't have as good a chicken as you can get at a french convenience store. It doesn't look difficult, just a matter of temperatures.

The wife and I had never tried Swiss Chalet, so when we saw one in Abbotsford about 6 years ago we went out of our way to try it out.
We were both of the opinion it was only marginally better than SaveOn rotissery chicken.

Chicken difficult on the BBQ. I usually nuke it a bit beforehand and finish it over charcoal.

Finally had over 10 days of summer, warm to hot with thunderstorms in the afternoon. Never more than 15 minutes of rain.
And the local store carry only 5lb bags of the worst brand of charcoal for half the price of 40lbs of Costco competition grade. If only Costco wasn't a whole day drive there and back.

Saw small bags of charcoal in the local stores for just over $20.
The tiny bag of Matchlight charcoal was also over $20.

But the steak to put on the BBQ is $50.

Even hot dogs are #15.

Could use propane but the local store has never filled out the sign at the bottle exchange.
So all the prices show as 88.88
From the cart gatherer too the area manager, marking in the dots is not my job.

Notice how when hot dogs are on sale for 4.99 the buns are 6.99, when the buns are 3.99 hot dogs are 9.99? And that 3 pack of camping condiments is anywhere for 5.99 jumps to 12.99 on long weekends?
