Given the trend of Climate Change, I wonder why DeHavilland didn't decide to restart the production line. Pretty much they have a captive audience.

I would think Ukrainian drone expertise could be leveraged here somehow.

The history of the CL type water bombers is interesting. The water bombers were first made by Canadair, before Bombardier bought them.
Bombardier stopped making them in 2015 and in 2016, the company sold its water bomber business, including the CL-415 SuperScooper, to Viking Air. Viking also makes the Twin Otter (formerly De Havilland DHC 6).
Viking was sold to DeHavilland in 2024 and now they decided to revive building the water bombers.

Its best to identify those people early, and borrow money from them.
