Canada's news outlets are struggling. Should Ottawa save them?

Canada's media landscape was in serious trouble back when Conrad Black controlled post media and gutted local news outlets. Now under the mismanagement of the liberals it is untenable. The cons are just going to kill what is left and not just the CBC. We are sleepwalking past the grave here. The future is grim for journalism in Canada as no party would champion the voice of Canadians in media and the industry was left to rot for far too long is now collapsing. Global news is now a penny stock divested from shaw since the rogers takeover and will soon fail and bell's mass layoffs are just a havenger of the rest of the industry.
